Business of The Week: Good Morning Ballymena
We recently caught up with the team at Good Morning Ballymena, who are this week’s #BallymenaMeansBusinessOfTheWeek!
Name of Business:
Good Morning Ballymena
Location of Business:
William Street, Ballymena
What service do you provide?
Good Morning Ballymena is a service for older people in the local area, who perhaps live by themselves or suffer from loneliness. Our services include a telephone lifeline, offering friendship and someone to talk to, which is available from 9:30am – 1:30pm every day. More recently since moving to our new premises on William Street, we are able to provide a physical space for people to come visit and have a chat. Our new café also recently launched so we can now provide tea, coffee and light snacks from 9:30am – 12:30pm daily.
If someone was to visit your premises, what would they expect?
Visitors to Good Morning Ballymena would expect a warm and friendly welcome from our team, as well as lots of chatting. Since moving to our new premises, we also offer a place for people to visit if they feel lonely or need someone to talk to, and our new café also offers tea, coffees and some nice treats!
What’s your favourite street in Ballymena and why?
Our favourite Street in Ballymena has to be William Street. We were delighted when the opportunity came up for us to relocate to premises here. Queen Street is also special to us, as it’s where we were located before moving to William Street.
What does Ballymena Mean to you?
Ballymena Means friendly, caring people who provide support to their neighbours. Since moving to our new premises, we have been overwhelmed by the help we have received and we are very proud to call Ballymena Home.
