The Hunger for ‘BID for Business’ Breakfasts Continue

The Ballymena BID and the Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry have announced the return of their successful ‘BID for Business’ breakfast series this autumn.

The ‘BID for Business’ breakfasts are events that take place in order to benefit the businesses and organisations located within the BID area. Whilst the events are free to members of the BID and Ballymena Borough Chamber, non-members are also welcome to attend for a small £10 surcharge, which includes a full cooked breakfast. Guests’ speakers will be in attendance at each breakfast, discussing key areas relevant to the BID businesses as well as offering guidance and advice.

The first topic in the new series, which launches on Thursday 12th October, is ‘Doing Better Business in Ballymena’. The event will cover the following areas:

  • Securing additional finance for your business
  • Growing and developing your business
  • Accessing subsidised training
  • Local mentoring and support
  • Case studies and local success stories

Speakers on the day include: Stephen Glasgow, Camerons Ballymena; Eileen McCann, Knockdene Healthcare; Gary Tinsdale, Tinsdale Furniture and William McKeown, McKeown PAT Testing.  Other organisations in attendance include Ballymena Business Centre and the Northern Regional College.

Alison Moore, BID Manager, speaking about the ‘BID for Business’ breakfast series, said, “We’re delighted that the ‘BID for Business’ breakfasts are back for another year. These events have proved valuable to many traders within the BID area, and we want to continue to optimise the support and guidance we provide them.”

Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s President, Ronan McCann said, “We are looking forward to the return of the ‘BID for Business’ breakfasts. The traders in the town are keen for the series to continue, as valuable business advice is something that is not always available.

“The first breakfast ‘Doing Better Business’ will provide information that will help the businesses within the area to grow, which will ultimately benefit the people and businesses of Ballymena.”

The ‘Doing Better Business’ breakfast takes place on Thursday 12th October in the Adair Arms Hotel, Ballymena from 7:30am – 9am and a full cooked breakfast will be served to all attendees. This event is FREE to Chamber and Ballymena BID members, and £10 to non-members. To confirm your attendance, please email or call 07801 738359 no later than Monday 9thOctober.
